UK’s Yonaka releases new EP ‘Teach Me to Fight’

Brighton indie-rock quartet YONAKA have just dropped their second EP, Teach Me To Fight, which was released August 17.

Forming back in 2014 whilst at university, with each member originally in different bands, they didn’t release their debut single ‘Ignorance’ until 2016. Rising in prominence, YONAKA are set to play Reading & Leeds Festival this month, which is a huge deal for and up-and-coming band. Already having supported the likes of Kasabian and The Libertines, it’s only up from here for the four-piece.

This is only reinforced with their new release. A ridiculously upbeat and catchy EP, YONAKA packs a ton of energy into Teach Me To Fight. Filled with lead singer Theresa Jarvis’ powerful vocals and driving guitars, this is combined with spectacular lyrics to make for a great EP.

Teach Me To Fight follows up their debut EP, Heavy, which was released just last year. This latest EP was produced by bassist Alex Crosby as well as grandson., and Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Royal Blood).

Teach Me To Fight was released August 17 via Asylum Records, and you can listen to it here, check out the track list below.
