UB40 are bringing their 40th anniversary tour to Australia

UB40 have announced their return down under for the 2019 ‘A Real Labour Of Love & 40th Anniversary Tour’ with the lineup to feature original members Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue.

But they’re not going to the usual places, with Perth the only capital city on the list.

After releasing new album ‘A Real Labour Of Love’ earlier this year, the reggae legends are set to perform on the Gold Coast, in Perth and in Dunsborough.

Nearly 40 years after they first performed live, UB40 will celebrate with a greatest hits set featuring well-loved songs like ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, ‘Rat In Mi Kitchen’ and ‘Kingston Town’.

As Britain’s biggest reggae band, UB40 topped the UK singles chart three times and sold 70 million records. They released three Labour of Love albums in the 80s and 90s, spawning hits such as Eric Donaldson’s ‘Cherry Oh Baby’, Lord Creator’s ‘Kingston Town’ and Johnny Osbourne’s ‘Come Back Darling’ and of course Neil Diamond’s ‘Red Red Wine’.

Founding members Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue have teamed up again to release ‘A Real Labour Of Love’– a fresh take on the hugely popular album series.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Tuesday 3rd July 2018.
