The Wombats release new single ‘Bee Sting’ and announce exciting new release

British indie three-piece The Wombats have just dropped their new single ‘Bee Sting.’ They have also just announced an extended version of their previous album Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life.

Forming back in 2003, The Wombats released their debut album Girls, Boys and Marsupials in 2006. With four LPs under their belts so far, the band have enjoyed steady success since their inception, even snagging an award for “Best Dancefloor Filler” for their track ‘Let’s Dance To Joy Division’ at the NME Awards in 2008.

Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life was released on February 9 this year and peaked at #5 on the ARIA charts. Their fourth LP so far, it contained hit singles such as ‘Cheetah Tongue’ and ‘Lemon To A Knife Fight’.

This new extended version is set to contain three bonus tracks, their new single ‘Bee Sting’, an acoustic version of their track ‘Lethal Combination’, and another new single ‘Oceans’.

‘Bee Sting’ is such a quintessential Wombats track, containing bright upbeat guitars and catchy vocals. Set to be a successful single for the band, any fan of The Wombats is sure to love this latest offering.

The Wombats will also be embarking on an Australian tour in November and December, returning just after their sold-out tour down-under in July. In this, they’ll be playing a bunch of solo shows and festivals in Perth, Canberra, Melbourne, Yarra Valley, Brisbane, and Hunter Valley.
