Michael Bublé to headline final Sydney Football Stadium show in August
Michael Bublé is returning to Australia. The modern day crooner will be on board to celebrate the final closing show of Allianz Stadium.
Bublé will be back in Australia for the first time since his record-breaking 2011 national tour. Paul Dainty, President and CEO of TEG DAINTY spoke of his delight at bringing Bublé back to Australia:
“Michael has toured Australia many times and we know Australians will be thrilled to have an opportunity to welcome him back again, particularly after his recent absence from the stage.”
After forging an illustrious global career, Bublé took a three year absence to focus on his son’s (successful) battle with cancer.
In July, Bublé returned to a sell out crowd at Dublin’s Croke Park and believes that the time away had given him a new outlook on career and life.
“This perspective has cost a lot but it has allowed me to truly rekindle a romance with music,” Bublé said.
“And I can’t wait to get to Australia and perform.”
Bublé’s performance will be a one-off special event on October 5. The occasion? Sending off Allianz Stadium before it’s closure. The venue will be closed for three years to undergo large scale refurbishment and reconstruction. A fitting ‘see you later.’
