Korn leads Download Festival lineup announcement

Californian alt-metal juggernauts Korn will headline Australia’s first-ever Download Festival in March 2018.

The iconic international rock and heavy metal festival will storm into Melbourne for the first time in the event’s 15-year history, with a one-day event at Flemington Racecourse on March 24.

The festival marks Korn’s only Australian show, and they’ll be joined by other international acts Prophets of Rage, Limp Bizkit, Mastodon, Good Charlotte, NOFX, Suicidal Tendencies and the list goes on.

One third of the acts on the lineup are Aussie bands, with Northlane, Ocean Grove, Psycroptic, King Parrot, Clowns, Chase Atlantic, Cursed Earth and Alpha Wolf thrashing their way through a day of hardcore rock.

Although debuting in Australia with a single day event in Melbourne, Download organisers have signalled their intention to grow exponentially in the coming years.

General tickets go on sale 9am Thursday, November 16.
