Hein Cooper is back with new single ‘Hear My Voice’ and national tour

After touring the world, singer-songwriter Hein Cooper will return to Australian shores with a national tour this month, and has surprised fans with a brand new single ‘Hear My Voice’.

Cooper produced the single himself with the help of Will Hicks (of Ed Sheeran and James Hersey fame) conceiving the track in a chalet in the French Alps facing Mont Blanc during a break between shows in 2016.

“This song is about my experiences with falsehood, of hiding behind a version of myself that I’ve built up in a fantasy influenced by all the information thrown at us in 2018,” Cooper explained in the press release for the track.

“It’s a conversation that I’m having with myself, basically saying: ‘Are you in there? Coz the guy answering the door is an a**hole and there’s gotta be someone else I can talk to!”

The new single succeeds brilliantly, in both its lyrics about falsehoods and self-constructed versions of ourselves, and also instrumentally.

Cooper succeeds in creating a perfect mix of acoustic and electronic to develop his sound, all the while bringing a touch of RnB to the vibe of the track.

Hein Cooper will launch ‘Hear My Voice’ later this month with shows in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.
