Exclusive premiere: Atticus Chimps release music video for ‘Lead, Pretend’

Ahead of the launch of their new single, Gold Coast rockers Atticus Chimps are premiering the raucous music video for ‘Lead, Pretend’ exclusively right here on Music Insight.

The band has also been announced as the support for Texan heavy metal band The Sword on their Australian tour in October.

Atticus Chimps are a three piece alternative rock band, formed in 2015 and consisting of Sam Bray (guitar & vocals), Theo D’ambrosia (bass) and Todd Pieszko (drums). Their brash and unconventional sound incorporates pop hooks with heavy punk, grunge and funk influences.

The group has supported established acts such as Butterfingers, The Chats, The Dead Love, Baltimore Gun Club, Horace Bones, Miniskirt, Birdhouse and Dollar Bill Murrays.

They recorded an EP at Bedlam Records in April 2018, and released their first single ‘Bee Stung Lips’ in May. ‘Lead, Pretend’ is the second release from their forthcoming EP.

The music video features the band’s mascot Atticus the chimp chasing down unrequited love – something we can all (sort of) relate to.

Check out the video and show dates below.
