Dylan Joel releases latest single ‘Hollering Love’
Melbourne singer-songwriter-rapper Dylan Joel has released his latest single ‘Hollering Love’ alongside last week’s fan track ‘Done Witchu’.
The two tracks follow Joel’s February ‘Run To The River’, appearing on multiple Apple Music and Spotify new music playlists.
“Done Witchu is me reflecting on a time where I was hanging round with a group of people that I knew weren’t good for me. I was starting to become someone I didn’t like; only closely avoiding run-ins with the law. Separating myself and re-evaluating the company I had, created room for me to change that,” Joel said.
Talking about the new track, Joel speaks of a time when he was told by people in the music industry not to write about positive things in life, instead to talk about the darker side. “I believe that in a world full of so much hate, loving is the biggest act of rebellion. This song is inspired by the incredibly talented, kind, loving and fly AF friends that I have, making this movement of love real.”
‘Done Witchu’ showcases Joel’s crafty lyricism, with latest single ‘Hollering Love’ also showcasing this with themes of love and positivity explored in the lyrics.
The accompanying visuals to both tracks – directed by Grey Ghost – complement the tracks perfectly.
Dylan Joel is heading on a huge national tour alongside artist Ruel.
