Crowded House return for exclusive Sydney Opera House encore performances

Twenty years after saying ‘Farewell to the World’, Crowded House will again grace the stage at the Sydney Opera House for two special encore performances on November 25 and 26.

Crowded House are one of Australia’s most loved and accomplished groups with 13 ARIA Awards, five number one albums, and two million album sales to their name.

Founding member Nick Seymour said the band was excited at the prospect of repeating the famous gig.

“I’ve come to realise ‘the top of our game’ is whenever we get together so please join us for a f*ck off sing song, an off-piste jam session, a toast to absent friends and no rain,” Seymour said.

The band have also announced their full back catalogue will be reissued in all formats including vinyl, accompanied by rarities like demos and other unreleased material.

Frontman Neil Finn said the new material had been “many years in the making”.

“It has been a labour of love for us and our mission all along was making a superlative quality, definitive document of Crowded House’s unique history for all the fans who have given us their affection over the years,” Finn said.

The Deluxe editions and vinyl are available to pre-order now on the Crowded House website.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Monday, September 26 at 10am.

Telstra customers can take advantage of a special presale from 10am Wednesday, September 21 until 10am Friday, September 23 via telstra.com/music.
