Kimbra announces new album

Kimbra’s third album, Primal Heart, is set to be released in January 2018.

Following the album announcement, the second single from the record was released; ‘Top of the World‘.

The two-time Grammy Award winner has spent the last two years producing the album alongside alternative legend John Congleton (Amanda Palmer, Sigur Ros).

The two tracks already released from the impending album are both brilliant, demonstrating the New Zealand native’s amazing voice and showcasing two diverse sides to Kimbra.

For those that are still unfamiliar with Kimbra, her first album, Vows, was released in Australia in 2011. Her second album, The Golden Echo, released in 2014 and gained acclaim with tracks like ’90’s Music’ and ‘Gold Mine’. She shot to fame in 2012 by featuring alongside Gotye in the smash hit, ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’.

The track gained global exposure and won multiple awards such as “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” at the 2013 Grammy Awards. Kimbra also made history by being the third New Zealand artist ever to win a Grammy.

Primal Heart is available for pre order now and will unlock an instant download of ‘Top of the World’ plus ‘Everybody Knows’.
