Apple Music Festival cancelled after 10 years

After 10 years, Apple has confirmed it will no longer hold its annual festival in London.

The popular festival was held at the Camden Roundhouse, however Music Business Worldwide reports that Apple has decided to axe it this year.

Many bands have played there over the last decade including Adele, Oasis, Mumford & Sons, Paul Simon, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Lady Gaga and the Arctic Monkeys.

The festival had become a ten night-long event during September and last year’s line up saw Elton John, The 1975, Chance The Rapper and Alicia Keys as the main headlines.

Speculation is that Apple will be focusing on single events instead.

Apple Music recently partnered with Haim and Spekta, sponsored Drake’s summer tour and supports regular live sessions from its ‘Up Next Artists’.

The brand also had a strong presence at SXSW in Texas earlier this year.
